Some healthy snack options !!!

Pretzels, Popcorn, Rice Cakes ( Quaker are great !!!)

Raw veggies dipped in salsa, or your favorite low fat dressing.

Make your favorite salad, and roll it in a wrap,  a delicious lunch.....

**** Most important drink lots of water *******

The biggest key to my weight loss has been staying busy. You know what times of day get harder for you, for me it's usually mid afternoon and before bed at night. Make sure to keep yourself especially busy during those times to keep your mind off of it and again the water helps a lot to keep you full. If the water is too boring for you, spice it up with some crystal light or even a decaffinated hot or ice tea. They give the same benefits of water, with added flavor. Always keep raw veggies around to snack on too. It important to eat things during the day that you actually " chew" or else your brain doesnt comprehend you've eaten.

Exercise Helpers

Heres some quick tips that help!!!

Walk 15 min, 2-3x a day , alternate walking with your favorite workout video, or even shoveling, raking, gardening. You can burn calories doing just about anything. Stay active 5-6 times a week, always take one day of complete rest. Put a CD on and dance for 20 minutes. Do anything that you enjoy and makes you feel good, I have even found success with Tae Bo 2-3x per week. I have friends who also have mentioned that pilates is great for strength training and weight loss as well as relaxation, I have yet to try it myself though.

Some other videos I enjoy are, Paul Abdul "get up and dance", and The Grind workouts, any low impact aerobics you do maybe 3x a week really helps. Remember everything in moderation, dont wear yourself down!!!

Most Importantly,  use variety with your workouts, if you do the same routine, after a few weeks, your body gets use to it and then losing gets harder. Remember variety is the spice of life. !!!!!

****NEW ***   Today 1/4/2004, I started Pilates, what a great workout. Not only does it involve fat burning routines, but it also offers much relaxation. Go out and try it!!!!!
